Modern Mantiques is located in the heart of Las Vegas’ growing antiques mecca—Main Street, in the Downtown Arts District. Modern Mantiques carries a wide range of antiques and collectibles with the discerning person in mind. Vintage Vegas posters mix with militaria—from medals to bayonets, from the early years of the 20th Century back to the 18th century and earlier. The store includes neon signs, vintage signage, old time radios and phonographs. Mission style benches, original pin-up art, stained glass, steamer trunks and Chinese Foo dogs are all on display and ready for sale to the discerning collector.
Mantiques is the kind of place an antique collector has to go back to again and again, because the stock is always changing. Original art work, tin litho toys, Mid Century Modern furniture and accessories all can be found in our shop. The displays are eclectic, antique smoking pipes and cigar memorabilia can be found near leather bound books and classic bronze statues. Soda and movie memorabilia line the walls, next to an array of desks, benches and toolboxes galore. Railroad items, steampunk, lamps, antique industrial to perfume bottles and vintage sunglasses vie for attention with fishing lures, casino memorabilia and cowboy hats. Satan jackets that lined the strip during the years of the Rat Pack are easily available.
Grown up kids will be enthralled by the array of OD green model Army trucks, tanks and artillery pieces all sized to fit on a bookcase or to be played with. There’s even a selection of early US Flags available. A cheeky stuffed taxidermy Mountain Lion head, topped by a black Derby hat, looks out over the center of the store. There are candelabras to original Star Wars collectibles, authentic brass diving helmets, to classic vinyl records as well as vintage telephones all on display. In short, Modern Mantiques is the place to buy for whatever the collecting passion.
Both Jeff and Claudia are awesome to deal with and will definitely be back!
